Jujutsu Kaisen, Vol. 1

Yuji Itadori is a high school student with exceptional physical strength, who regularly visits his ailing grandfather in the hospital. His life takes a drastic turn when his Occult Research Club unseals a cursed object—a rotten finger talisman—at school, attracting malevolent Curses. To protect his friends and a Jujutsu Sorcerer named Megumi Fushiguro, Yuji swallows the cursed finger, unwittingly becoming the vessel for Ryomen Sukuna, a powerful ancient sorcerer. This act thrusts him into the hidden world of Jujutsu Sorcerers, who aim to exorcise Sukuna, and by extension, Yuji himself. Despite the grim fate awaiting him, Yuji joins the Tokyo Jujutsu High School under the guidance of Satoru Gojo, determined to use his newfound powers to help others, fulfilling his grandfather's dying wish. This volume introduces the dark fantasy world of Cursed Energy and spirits, setting the stage for Yuji's journey to confront powerful Curses and navigate his own destiny.
